Other Music Notation Software

The first notation sofware I used on an IBM-compatible PC was MusicTime. I then switched to ScoreWriter, which has been owned by a number of companies (GenieSoft, CakeWalk, and now SonicScore). It remains a solid yet inexpeensive tool - just $50. The two features I have most wished it had are (1) the ability to scan in music, (2) the ability to point-and-click to add bowings and positions for string parts. However, I have found that I can create a text comment tied to a note and change the font to the music notation font. So I can make up one up-bow or down-bow comment for one note, and copy-and-paste it whereever I need it.
